Currently sitting idle (see bug explanation below).
I use OctoPi to print out, monitor and improve backups of 3D printing projects. Whilst not necessary to do 3D printing it is a great addition.
The ability to watch prints via webcam remotely along with the progress is very useful. If there is a large print that I need to keep an eye on then I can just glance at the webcam every few minutes instead of having to keep checking directly.
Bug
Currently OctoPrint (the actual software running) doesn’t seem to be compatible with Jyer’s UI update on the Ender 3 V2. Through hours of testing I came to the conclusion that there is a failure on the serial communication. The only way to get the printer to be recognised is to unplug the USB cable to the printer and reconnect it. This will work for about 3 goes. But then you will need to restart the printer as OctoPi will send a kill command.
Due to my love of the new Jyer’s UI firmware I have decided to give both OctoPi and Jyer’s UI the chance to update their projects.
