Isle of Wight

I decided to visit the Isle of Wight for a short trip to Ryde. I can’t say I was exactly thrilled with the places to visit. Had I stayed longer I may have been able to explore more of the Island and appreciate it more.

My main goal of the day was to ride the Hovercraft anyway. Once I saw that I had to have a go.

It was a fairly smooth ride by Hovercraft (as you would expect). It goes at quite a speed so it only takes 10 minutes to cross.

Once in Ryde, I think I spent most of my time trying to dodge snow (it came every 30 minutes or so). I happened to be walking out to the Pier at the time and felt like I would have got frostbite if it had continued more than 5 minutes. I ended up putting on a mask to stop my face freezing.

The least flattering image of me to ever exist

It was a very confusing day for weather. But I still managed to get a few pictures.

This was the view of Portsmouth

And Portsmouth getting the snow just before we did.

I managed to rush back from the Ferry to catch the earlier train to Brighton. I still ended up getting in at 8pm
