I decided to visit Wolverhampton for the day as it was nearby to Birmingham and I had it on my list due to a nice looking church/cathedral.

The park was nice but I didn’t find much else to look at. I walked a bit further into the housing estates to see what they looked like (I wondered if this would be a nice place to live cheaply if I were to work in Birmingham). The houses reminded me a lot of Essex (where I grew up). However, they had the benefit of not all being the same design constantly. Each road had it’s own style.

I felt that the town centre was basically made up of one massive shopping centre. there weren’t many shops outside it, and it felt like the shopping centre went on for ages. It had a weird mix of discount and high end shops. I couldn’t really tell clearly if the area was a great economy or not.
My train was delayed a lot getting back. I think it ended up being over 45 minutes late by the time I arrived back in Birmingham ( I submitted a refund to Transport for Wales but at it was only £3.95 return I doubt I will get much back). I was impressed by the clear screens on the platform though.

Birmingham
Once I got back from Wolverhampton I decided to walk a bit more of the city centre that I missed. I still ended up getting lost as it if I had been everywhere. If you want to go shopping Birmingham is where you want to be.
