When visiting Chester I debated about going to the zoo. But I decided to fully cover the old city buildings and Roman architecture. Plus it saved on the zoo entrance fee of £30.

My accommodation was about 40 minutes walk from the city. The main road had some nice houses but the side streets were very basic red brick houses.

There was a wide range of history to cover; city walls, amphitheatre ruins, cathedral and double height shop fronts.
